[If you've been paying attention to your journal, you might see a quick flicker of an enraged pair of broken shades glaring up at you. If you haven't, well you'll probably see them first-hand soon because Equius has arrived and he is not very happy.
There's a fierce yell and a quick glimpse of the room as the journal goes soaring through the air and into the wall. Hard to read properly when you're blind with anger.]
WHEN I FIND WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS-
[His voice quickly becomes distant as he makes his way into the hall, shutting the door with a loud SLAM.
Anyone who sees the young troll might want to stay out of his way or risk having him charge into you/interrogate you because THIS IS OBVIOUSLY YOUR FAULT.]

Do not refer to me as that mustardblooded degenerate. Who are you?
[Equius is hunched over like an animal getting ready to charge down his prey, giving a rather menacing look. It's be rather intimidating if his height and age didn't make it hilarious or adorable.]
[Commentlog]
When he spoke on the other hand, her attitude quickly changed. The feathers on her shoulders bristle. Isabella's lips purse and the much older woman is not pleased at all. Her ire is up. Degenerate?]
The only thing that is degenerate here, is your lack of manners.
[No. She was not pleased with this troll.]
I was not referring to you in the least. I was concerned for the people that I know.
[Read between the lines here: NOT YOU.]
My name is Isabella. Who are you?
[Commentlog]
I assure you, what you may view as a lack of proper etiquette is of the norm and encouraged from someone of such nobility. I would have no qualms with being courteous towards one of my caste, as rare as they may be.
[He straightens his back, crossing his arms as he speaks.]
My name is Equius Zahhak, and I am searching for my moirail.
[He glares at her, over his sunglasses. That last bit almost sounds as if he's expecting her to tell him where she is. It doesn't even occur to the troll that she might not know what a moirail is, or even know Nepeta.]
[Commentlog]
[The way the word is said, it is almost a growl.
There's a word that Isabella knows all too well and has lived with it since her birth. Coming to the keep has skewed her previous views of what was a proper interaction with people. Her death further meddled with those perceptions. The friendship with Sollux, and subsequently becoming his moirail, became what was needed to give her the ability to stand up for herself.
And others.
Green eyes narrow and she glares back at him.]
Perhaps you should change your views on etiquette, sir, if you wish have help from those beneath you.
[She does know what a moirail is. She is one. She even knows Nepeta. Far be it for her to share the information though, with one who's head was so large it barely fit through the hall.]
[Commentlog]
[Though this isn't Alternia... Or his universe, really. Equius narrows his yellow eyes back at her.]
This is how trolls of my status must be. If I were to try and change the way things were handled, I would be disowned and tossed amongst the lower class. Possibly culled. I needn't explain any of this to you and am just wasting time doing so.
[He scowls, showing a few of his broken teeth. The longer he takes here, the higher the chances of Nepeta running into danger.]
I need no help from those beneath me. I can manage perfectly on my own.
[Commentlog]
She would, perhaps, think twice if this was her own world, and Equius was an adult. Or, if he had an adult to enforce his haughty views.
But, none of those applied here. It was a whole new playing field.]
Then be on your way already, sir.
[One would think she took the 'beneath' comment to be directed at her.]
[Commentlog]
Fine then. I shall.
[And off he went, down the hall, turning the corner.
...Moments later, he's seen running in the opposite direction.
...And then back in the original direction. NO HE'S NOT LOST ISABELLA.]
Nepeta? NEPETA. Where are you...
[Commentlog]
She steps aside and points down a flight of steps. All the rough hard edges of her earlier demeanor is gone leaving behind something carefully neutral.]
The stairs are this way, Equius. I do not know where Nepeta is for sure, but she has a shipping wall outside that she could be at.
It is rather large.
[She sighs heavily. She expects nothing from this, except perhaps her own guilt eased for her troubles. She was, after all, beneath him.]
[Commentlog]
He then glances towards the stairs, where she's pointing. He's not saying a word, but the scowl on his face is slowly fading into a slightly less pissed off look. He will not thank you, Isabella, but he gives a slight nod. As he begins walking towards the stairs, he stops at the top step.]
Has she been safe at this Keep.
[He's not looking at you, to avoid letting you see the slight look of concern on his face.]
[Commentlog]
The question was unexpected.
Equius cared.
Unfortunately, Isabella had no good news. She shakes her head.]
No one is safe in this Keep.
[Commentlog]
Still, a chill runs up his spine. This Keep was not safe, but neither was The Veil and that just means Equius will have to do his damn best to make sure no harm comes to him or his moirail. Or Sollux... Maybe. Not really... maybe.]
Hmph...
[He turned his head, giving Isabella a slightly hostile yet determined look.]
We shall see about that.
[Commentlog]
It is no doing of mine!
The Lord and his Mistress here, have kept a great many secrets from all of us that have arrived! Most of what has not been mentioned, has also not been pleasant and the only way to find this out, unfortunately, has been to encounter it ourselves.
[He asked if Nepeta was safe. Not if something had happened. There is a large distinction in that.]
[Commentlog]
I see. The Lord and Mistress here, do you know their names?
[He's facing her, now. Standing firmly on the ground like a troll on a mission.]
There may be many secrets here, but that does not matter to me. Me and the other two will not be here long enough to experience any of these unpleasant encounters.
[Yes, he means Sollux too now. He may be a lower blood but he still has his uses. Besides, his blood is only a few shades from Nepeta's and she's turned out fine. Don't ever expect him to say anything nicer than that, though.]
[Commentlog]
Lord Deior and Lady Isabel.
[Not to be confused with Isabella. Those two were opposites in many a way for sure, and the bard will do anything to stay out of her way after seeing what happened during the trial.
That is some very strong worry on Isabella's face at your words, Equius.
Perhaps she doesn't want people to leave?]
We have been here for months...
[She was pleading silently that he could catch what she didn't want to say: those encounters had already happened.]
[Commentlog]
I will find them.
[He gives Isabella one last glance before turning back down the stairs to continue his search.]
You all have been here for months because none were apparently STRONG enough to force their wishes of leaving upon the owners of this Keep. I will.
[He catches a bit of it, Isabella. That only causes him to speed up his walking.]
[Commentlog]
Still her lips pursed and she crossed her arms, almost hugging herself, watching as he walked away.
Nepeta would set him straight.]
